Volunteer

Project Dana would not be possible without support from a corps of trained volunteers guided by the principle of “Dana,” which combines selfless giving and compassion without desire for recognition or reward.

Project Dana recruits volunteers across the state to assist the elderly with their various needs. Volunteers are sensitive to diverse cultures and traditions, receive initial and continual training and education from the project, and are managed by trained volunteer coordinators from partner congregations.

"This experience (volunteering) has been a life-changing one for me. I have learned to be more concerned for others and be thankful for the one you have..."

Volunteer Counselors Needed

Join the Caring for the Caregiver program in supporting family caregivers in our community! The program offers counseling services which involve a qualified professional to offer one-on-one counseling sessions with the purpose to assist with decision-making and problem solving of issues related to caregiving responsibilities. Project Dana seeks volunteer counselors with formal education and training in counseling and sufficient knowledge and understanding of the complexity of caregiving and long-term care.

If you are interested in volunteering for Project Dana, please call us at 808-945-3736 or email info@projectdana.org
