Social and Support Services
We are proud to offer the following assistance to kūpuna who are in need. These services are non-medical and serve to assist our elderly in instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Visitation/Social Events
Need some company at home or in the hospital/care home? Our volunteers will come visit kupuna in person or via telephone to ensure they have someone to talk story with. We know keeping kupuna in good spirits is just as important as maintaining their physical health.
Some Project Dana sites have monthly social events that allow for socializing and making friends. Please contact Project Dana to join.
"Project Dana Visit Days are always clearly marked on my mom's calendar and eagerly awaited. You have made a lasting impression, uplifting her spirits, and for that I am very thankful. Your time, support, and work has really made a difference." - C.K.
Home Services
Need an extra hand around the house? We can offer assistance in the form of light housekeeping.
Meal Delivery
Need a break from making meals? Meal delivery service is available from some sites, bringing hot and ready-to-eat meals.
Transportation
Need to go somewhere? Transportation assistance is available to kupuna for medical appointments, grocery shopping, religious services, and legal services such as banking, federal, state, city and county offices. Your safety and well-being are our top priority.
"I always look forward to my grocery trips with my Project Dana volunteer. I genuinely enjoy our friendship and appreciate the extra care 'S' puts into pointing out the sales to help me save money. Thank you from the bottom of my heart." - V.E.
Grocery Shopping
Need some help with getting groceries? Grocery shopping can be done by list or through escort. This service can be arranged depending on what our kupuna needs.
